The why
So far I have had two blogs published. The first was all about adopting my second daughter and I called it, A Sister for Grace. I am so glad I captured those early days of adapting and adjusting and helping my daughter, understand and accept love and having a family. It helps me recall so many details that otherwise would have been lost. As my daughters got older, I realized posting only about their lives was an invasion into their privacy. They were going through the struggles that all teens do and did not need me broadcasting it into the universe. I decided I should shift the focus to me, as a mom, but also as a daughter, as the source of my posts. The reason the two roles, mom and daughter, were both intertwined as my parents live next door. This blog was called, My Sandwich Life, as I was living between two generations, trying to juggle the needs of both, while maintaining some type of life for myself.
